About

Grant Stevens approaches this blog with two key philosophies.

1. Write what you want to read.

A life-long lover of reading, Grant makes it his goal to write things that he would enjoy perusing. He enjoys many different writers and hopes someday to be able to “take up the mantle” of such luminaries as C.S. Lewis, C.S. Forester, Rafael Sabatini, William Lane Craig, Malcolm Gladwell, Chuck Klosterman, Rick Reilly, and Bill Simmons.

Grant’s other philosophy in this blog is:

2. Promote thinking in the reader.

Though Grant frequently shares strong beliefs, ratings, and recommendations, he hopes readers will not take his words as an end but rather as a beginning in their own journey of developing their own opinions. Grant makes an effort to share helpful ‘things to consider’ which will, God willing, be a launching pad for further investigation and thought.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and Grant is no beholder beyond himself. Proverbs 14:10 says it best: the heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy. With luck, this blog will serve to help others unlock beauty and joy in a way that is fun and interesting.

A native of Meadows Place, TX, Grant Stevens has reached people in 140 different countries on 6 different continents (he’s still working on Antarctica) via his blog. In addition, he has been published in both the print and online editions of the Christian Chronicle.
